Our Beaune "Clos de l'Ermitage" features lovely, deep ruby red colour. Its nose is redolent of toasted, smoky notes along with aromas of red fruit that are highly typical of Pinot Noir with a hint of leather and forest undergrowth. The fine, elegant tannins are dense and the structure is very bold. Lovely length with predominant mineral notes of the terroir.
From 1350, the Bichot family was established in Burgundy, with a deer as a symbol. is is only in the XIXth century that the family gets into the wine business, when Bernard Bichot founds in 1831 a wine brokerage.
